Prep Your Items
We buy items that are clean, stylish, and in great condition, so before bringing in your items, give them a little TLC. A quick wash, ensuring your items are odor-free, can make a world of difference.

Bring Them In
Locate the nearest Clothes Mentor store using our store locator and drop off your items. Our friendly staff is ready to welcome you and assess your pieces. We understand that your life is busy, so our buying process is computer-automated, making this step a seamless process!

Get Paid
Enjoy the flexibility of choosing between store credit or cash. Once our experts have reviewed your items, you'll leave with your preferred compensation, making it a simple and rewarding experience.
Get Cash on the Spot or Store Credit—You Pick!
Review, accept, and get paid. It's that quick. After you raid your closet, bring your items and ID to start the process. We price items at about 1/3 of the original retail price and will offer you roughly 25-30% of that amount. You can then choose cash in hand or opt for in-store credit. It’s your closet, your cash, your way at Clothes Mentor!
How It Works
Bring Us Your Items:
- Style matters: We look for current women) fashion sizes 0-26.
- Condition counts: Our customers expect the best, & that's what we will buy from you.
- Items should be freshly laundered and neatly folded in a laundry basket, plastic bin, or shopping bag.
Get It Checked:
- Our expert buyers review your items for style, condition, and inventory need. We take inventory into consideration during the buying process. We may pass on items because it is not needed at this time.
- We process items in the order received. However, if you are actively shopping in our store, we will move your items to the top of the line.
Get Paid
- Get paid when you say "Yes!" to our cash offer or get 25% MORE in store credit.
Bring Your ID: If it’s your first time selling with us: Bring a valid ID, you must be 18 years or older & have a textable phone number.
Familiarize Yourself with Our Shop: We encourage you to shop with us to understand what items we buy & how we price them.
Drop Off Your Items: If you’re in a hurry, you can check in your items & leave. We’ll text you when we’ve finished reviewing them.
Text Notification: The text will not include your offer. It serves as a reminder to return to the store for your offer & to pick up any unsold items.
48-Hour Pick-Up Window: If you do not return within 48 hours of our text, we’ll issue store credit with a 25% bonus & donate your unsold items to Clothed By Faith.
Item Limit: We accept a maximum of 2 laundry basket-sized baskets or bins per transaction. If you have more, we’ll process the first transaction before accepting additional bins.
Clean Items Only: Please bring freshly laundered items. We don’t have laundry facilities & will pass on items that don’t look or smell fresh.
Payment Rate: You can expect to receive 25%-35% of our selling price for your items, based on condition & brand.
Luxury Items: We accept luxury items. They must be authenticated by third-party experts. There is a $15 fee (+ tax) per luxury item, paid before authentication. You may decline our offer, & if so, you’ll receive the certificate of authenticity. We offer a higher payout for authenticated luxury items, ranging from 35%-50%.
